Just inside in the pull of charming Greenwich Village, The Jade Hotel reflects the atmosphere of the Village but also skirts Soho, Chelsea, and the Flatiron District. You’re perfectly poised to walk to a play at the Actors Playhouse or perhaps catch the best names in jazz at Blue Note Jazz & Blues. Maybe a Greenwich Village artistic all-in-one venue like Le Poisson Rouge is more your style. Get a feel for the surrounding neighborhood with a complimentary walking tour or neighborhood guide from the Jade (don’t forget your complimentary bottled water when you leave). Whatever you like, you’re sure to find it here.
Less of a grand bustling hotel and more of a cozy hideaway for travelers, The Jade Hotel nonetheless impresses. The entrance is particularly catching, drawing you into a cozy lounge space where you seem just as likely to curl up in front of the fireplace with a book or have a drink with friends you haven’t seen in ages. The in-house Grape & Vine is worth being your first choice for almost any meal (except bagels---for that head around the corner to Murray’s) with a pan-global cuisine using America’s best ingredients. We’re always delighted when hotels have restaurants worth visiting independent of the hotel and become downright giddy when they offer equivalently delicious room service. (Did we mention they’re even vegan-friendly?) Staff is eager to please and always ready with recommendations for food, activities, or simply reminding you that they’ve got your back if you need anything.
The Jade is seemingly held in a charismatic mix between the 1920’s and today, giving it something of a timeless feel. There’s an Art Deco influence here most notably in the palette and geometric details that, for example, cover the armoire, stylishly hide the TV, and grace the wall behind the headboards. Velvety reds and rich blues mix with polished dark wood and chrome to bring just the right amount of pop to the refined style while keeping the atmosphere cozy. We’re not always fans of carpet, but in these rooms it anchors the warm atmosphere stylishly and literally. The rooms are on par for New York sizes, but upgrading to a Hudson Queen Deluxe with a terrace should squelch any feelings of small-ness.
Whether you’re on your own or with your intrepid traveling companion(s), there’s nothing quite like knowing your host is watching out for you. The Jade Hotel gives you the space to regroup and to connect when you travel to this beautiful gem in Greenwich Village.

"..A convergence of vintage and modern with a speakeasy-type bar that recalls the Gilded Age's design and rooms with deep-red, blue, and gold décor inspired by 1920s Paris..."
