Situated on 9th Avenue, Soho House sits deep in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, an area that has become synonymous with nightlife, boasting numerous high-end nightclubs, party spots and a great variety of restaurants---from big and bold to small and intimate. Interestingly, a lot of the nightlife in this area is centered around hotels including The Standard High Line, the Gansevoort, the Jane Hotel (a few blocks south) and the Soho itself. There are also plenty of shops and boutiques in the area.
As with all other Houses, the concept is always the same: a members-only club reserved exclusively for film, media and creative types with a focus on food and beverage and loung-y social areas including a drawing room, a library , a screening room and a highly sought-after rooftop pool and deck. As the first outpost outside of the UK, New York seemed the natural first choice for its overabundance of creative residents and industries as well as New Yorkers’ love of all things exclusive. That somehow got lost along the way, however, and for some time it sort of became another hyped-up New York trend---and the creative types started to be substituted by other not-so-desirable ones. Fortunately, the club has returned to its original mission and the beautiful, laid-back atmosphere that made it famous is back and ready to serve as the perfect backdrop for many a memorable stay.
Expect the usual Soho House look and feel: a blend of classical and contemporary styles that combine together for maximum comfort and intimacy appeal, mixed in with the building’s own historical look (e.g. exposed bricks dating back to its warehouse days). And like common areas, rooms also boast the vintage-luxe look including wooden floors, vintage leather furniture, exposed brick walls, crystal chandeliers and free-standing bathtubs in the Medium and Big rooms.
Soho House NY brought the cool, members-only UK concept to the Meatpacking District. Frequented by a crowd that includes locals, internationals and the occasional celeb, Soho House NY is first and foremost an incredible place to spend time in---whether in the bar, restaurant, drawing room or rooftop pool. And with only 24 keys, consider yourself lucky if you can find a room here.

"...Remains a safe haven of shameless exclusivity...like many of the Soho House operations with bedrooms, it'd be easy enough to check in here and never leave..."
"...The laid-back, smartly dressed staff treat you like you're one of their buddies --- you all just happen to be part of one of the city's most exclusive social clubs..."
