Every aspect of Hotel Daniel is a feast for your senses, starting with the enchanting sitting room where guests can take breakfast (all day!) and tea. Decidedly French design that utilizes beautiful Asian antiques and motifs surround you in a fanciful wonderland while luscious fabrics ensconce you in their upholstered embrace. Chef Bonnet’s cuisine is not to be missed; in fact, make a reservation at the restaurant before you book your surely opulent room or suite. His culinary philosophy rests on the crucial principle of using high-quality products at their freshest point and embracing their natural flavor. One shouldn’t skip breakfast in general, but to miss breakfast at Hotel Daniel is akin to a crime against food lovers everywhere---especially when it’s generously offered all day.

The Look

Where some will definitely see chintz, we see charm. The over-the-top French chinoiserie style in the rooms and suites replete with custom Toile du Juoy wallpaper and Asian-inspired antiques lends itself to the otherworldly atmosphere cultivated throughout the hotel. If it’s not over-the-top, it simply doesn’t belong here. Each room ships you out to a different corner of the Orient from China to Cairo in what is surely a French vessel of design from the 18th century. Pastels, silks, and lush Eastern carpets are simply sumptuous and push Hotel Daniel into the realm of utterly extravagant. The resulting luxurious home is as much a feast for the eyes as the downstairs restaurant. The décor of the restaurant is worth spending a whole evening in; designer Tarfa Salam deftly weaves in a soft green (a signature of the hotel) around birds, butterflies, flowers, and forests that makes you feel as though you’re in the center of a magical pond.
