The Look

Casa Camper embodies the notion of providing “everything you need and nothing you don’t”. The design is neither overwrought nor overbearing; you really do feel as though you’re in a friend’s home thanks to the warmth of the staff (who are exceptionally gracious, even by our high standards). Décor is simple but plush, primarily utilizing using rich reds accompanied by warm wood floors and comfy lounge areas inside the 51 rooms and suites. The views are just as much a design feature: Tentempié was clearly adapted around its enormous windows and views over the rooftops of Mitte (plus the bathrooms rely on natural light). Where the rooms are meant for a private retreat, the common areas are open and a touch more boldly designed. Look for the seaweed-inspired sculpture in the 7th floor lounge---it’s just one of many cool design touches Casa Camper offers its guests.
